The design and functionality of DIP card readers brings challenges for jamming technology. A constant jamming signal, such as that used with a motorized card reader, would interfere with a DIP card transaction. This is why up until now, in ATMs with DIP card readers, the jamming signal of all anti-skimming solutions was only activated once sensors in the card reader area detected the presence of a fraudulent device, and the ATM would need to be taken out of service.
However skimming devices are getting smaller and more sophisticated. Even the best detection technology is not a completely reliable means of defence. And taking the ATM out of service, for any reason, even security, is to be avoided if possible. Unlike other solutions ADK does not rely on the detection of a skimming device. ADK provides continues protection without relying on detection.
Anti Trapping Kit; prevents criminals to capture the customer card with trapping attack.
Regardless of the attack method from criminals, ATK captures the trapped card within the card reader. If an attack is detected, an informational alert is generated and the CPK security settings will block the power to the card and the deployer can take appropriate action.
CPK 6001s
Card Protection Kit (CPK) 6001s is the only active jamming based anti-skimming solution that is specifically designed to deliver maximum protection for ATMs with motorised card readers.
The new patented design of the CPK bezel has enhanced, security features that defend against all known skimming attacks.
For maximum protection against ATM skimming and card compromise, CPK 6001s can be used with Fets Security’s other complementary security features such as Tilt and Vibration Kit (TVK) to protect against physical attacks to the area of the card reader, Anti-Trapping Kit (ATK) to defend against card trapping and Surface Detection Kit (SDK).

Surface Detection Kit; detects the presence of a skimming device placed in the area of the card entrance slot. If a skimming device is detected, an informational alert is generated and the deployer can take appropriate action. The ATM stays in service, since the jamming signals protect the card data from compromise.
TVK protects against attempts to cut, saw or drill into the fascia to try and access the card reader or its electronics to capture the card data. If an attack is detected, an informational alert is generated and the CPK security settings will block the power to the card and the deployer can take appropriate action.
